West Michigan Sailing Program offers two different sailing cruises for you, your friends or family. We offer Afternoon Cruises and Evening Sunset Cruises. Look for boarding signs near the fuel dock near the city marina in Pentwater, Michigan.

Afternoon cruises are two hours long (3-5 PM) and can accommodate up to five persons per boat. There are three different boats available. The recommended donation for this Cruise is $230, irrespective of the size of the party.

Sunset Cruises are two hours long and can accommodate up to five persons per boat. There are three different boats available. The boats leave the dock one hour before sunset. The recommended donation for this Cruise is $275, irrespective of the size of the party.

Please reserve a time as soon as you know your availability. These cruises are captained by licensed skippers who volunteer to take members of the public on a chartered cruise. It’s their way to support our primary mission to serve veterans with physical challenges or who are struggling with PTS or other brain trauma.

Same day reservations are difficult for us because we have to arrange for a captain and crew. Likewise, next day bookings are also difficult. That is why you’ll see a “Call Ahead” message when you try to book. Leaving a message on our Captain’s phone is complicated when he is on a cruise outside cell coverage. We don’t want to discourage you, just please be patient with us.

What’s your cancellation policy?
Please give us 15 days notice if you have to cancel your reservation. With proper notice, we’ll be happy to give you a 100% refund.

What if it rains or there is other bad weather on the day of the sail?
We may cancel the sail if there is rain or other conditions that make the day unfit for sailing. If this is the case then we’ll be in touch on the day of your sail to reschedule. Cancellation because of these conditions may warrant a full or partial refund of monies spent, but, WMS may instead offer an acceptable alternative in lieu of a refund.
